About us: This site is operated by Quarry Group Limited (“We”, "QuarryGroup"), a company incorporated in New Zealand [company number 1166747]. We provide business and board advisory, assessment and education services to clients, in New Zealand and elsewhere. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and to complying with relevant legislative requirements.
Purpose: The purpose of this Privacy Statement ("Statement") is to inform website visitors and QuarryGroup clients how we comply with the requirements of the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the relevant legislation in the country QuarryGroup is incorporated in) in relation to our control and processing of personal data provided by you. This Statement explains the basis upon which any personal data is collected, managed, processed, kept private and destroyed. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller is QuarryGroup.
Consent: If you contact us though this website, you are consenting to provide data and agreeing to this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not contact us through this website, but contact us by other means, such as by telephone or postal service.
Data we may collect or possess about you: Data you provide when filling out forms on this website (including the date and time of contact; your name, the name of your employer, job title, email address, telephone number, comment) and any correspondence you send us, whether by electronic or paper-based means.
Your rights: You have a right to have a control over your personal data provided to us or collected by us. Your rights in relation to your personal data are:
- You may ask us not to use your data for advertising or promotional purposes. We will inform you prior to collecting any personal data if we intend to use data for such purposes.
- You may access data held about you, in accordance with the relevant legal provision. Any access request may be subject to a fee of one hundred New Zealand dollars, to meet our costs in providing details of the personal data held about you.
- You may ask that inaccurate personal data held by us is corrected.
- You may ask us to delete your personal data from our systems and records.
Storage and security of data: The data collected or possessed by us is stored securely, in an encrypted format. The locations of such storage include secure servers at our registered office; laptop and handheld devices in the possession of QuarryGroup officers or employees; and, Cloud-based providers including Apple iCloud, Dropbox and Xero. We will do our best to protect your personal data, and we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. However, the transfer of data via the Internet is not completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of personal data you provide. Consequently, data is provided at your risk.
Retention: Data is retained for as long as it is needed, or as long as the law requires us to.
Third-party websites: Our site may contain links to other (third-party) websites. These websites have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or the enactment or breach of them.
Usage of personal data collected or provided by you: We use data held about you to meet contractual commitments (for services) made with you, and to communicate with you. If you do not want us to use your personal data in this way, contact us at ask@quarrygroup.com before entering any personal data on our website.
Disclosure of your personal data: Your personal data may be disclosed to an officer or employee of QuarryGroup, for the purpose of conducting bona fide business activity only. Your personal data may be disclosed to third parties if we sell the company or any part of the company, or are considering the sale or the company or any part of the company, in which case your personal data may be disclosed to a prospective buyer of the company as one of the transferred assets; or, if we are required to disclose your personal data to comply with a legal obligation; or, to protect the rights, property or safety of QuarryGroup (including the exchange of personal data with other companies for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk assessment). We will not sell, share or otherwise disclose your personal data to any other third parties, regardless of purpose.
Privacy breach: We work hard to keep your personal data safe and private. However, there is a possibility security could be breached. If there is a loss or unauthorised access of disclosure of your personal data that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will, as soon as we become aware of the breach:
- Identify and secure the breach to prevent any further breaches;
- assess the type and severity of the breach including the type of personal data involved and risk of harm;
- advise appropriate authorities where criminal activity is suspected;
- publish a notice of our website advising the breach; and,
- notify the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.
